Michel Vivien

Michel Viven is a designer who appreciates the femininity of sophisticated women and enhances their beauty.
Michel Vivien is a French shoe designer. As a student, he collaborated with shoe design studios, including studios in Italy, who worked for French luxury brands such as Christian Dior, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, and others.

In 1998, Michel Vivien launched his own namesake brand. From the start, he created collections that were audacious and feminine, timeless, but with harmonious references to designs from the 1920s, 40s, and even 70s, which appreciated women’s most sophisticated femininity.
Michel Vivien’s trademark, so he says, is sobriety—he works trusting his own desires.

“A shoe is made to move, not to stand still. I forbid myself from making you suffer to make you look pretty.
I never lose sight of the primary function of a shoe, and this is why I have three obsessions: quality, comfort, and elegance.”
